Beginning in January 2017, Rahr Malting Co. products will be packaged in 55 lb (25 kg) sacks.
When:
BSG’s Shakopee warehouse will begin packaging Rahr products in 55 lb sacks on February 27, 2017.
There will be a short transition period following January 15, with both 50 lb and 55 lb sacks in stock, until existing inventory of the 50 lb pack size is depleted. We will be making every effort to minimize overlap.
Which products:
The following Rahr malts and grains will be available in 55 lb sacks going forward:
Standard 2-Row
Standard 6-Row
Pale Ale
Premium Pilsner
Old World Pilsner
White Wheat
Red Wheat
High DP Distillers Malt
Unmalted Wheat
Weight and height changes for pallet quantities:
Pallet quantities of Rahr malts will be approximately 6-8” taller, and weigh 2200 lbs instead of 2000 lbs.
